History of Tom as a tunnel digger

 In the year 1923 Tom and his buddies were finishing a day of banging a
few more holes in the nearly finished tunnel. His shift was almost done 
when he heard a sound of people digging on the other side, everyone
gave a big hit and the wall collapsed. After a big cloud of dust swept
through the tunnel they met the people from the other side. 

After they walked to the end of the tunnel and got a ride with a local horse
carriage person named Lil. She asked where they wanted to go and the
answer to that was the pub. 

Five horses were used to pull a carriage and the road was rough and
jagged so they had to take a horse.  It was a bumpy ride but they got
there safe and sound. Everyone got drunk that night, they even put a
bit of bacon throw a mangle!

In our class we have been doing science experiments for this one we did pendulum science. First there is the normal one then the one were we did painting. Here is mine.

How long does it take to stop swinging depending on its mass.

Aim/Hypothesis:

We think that objects with more mass will go for longer

Results 

This is how long it took for each of the objects to stop singing.

Bottle 2mins 59 secs . 63

Conclusion: It is true objects with more mass do swing for longer

Science Report Pendulum Painting

Aim/Hypothesis: 

Our hypothesis was that it was going to be easy to make a pendulum painting device. Our aim was to make one.

Results:

First we tried using paint but it didn’t work because it was too watery.
So we tried again but the hole was too small. So the paint was to thick to fit
threw the hole or we are just unlucky. We tried to make a bigger hole and
the paint was still to thick. So we tried flour and it didn't go through the
funnel so we gave up.

Conclusion:

In the end our hypothesis was wrong and we didn’t achieve our aim
nothing worked. Maybe next time we could plan more and come up with
a better mix.

Gold mining in Waiuta

This term Te king have a topic of local history so we did research about the ghost town Waiuta and me Jakob and Zak have made this it is about the history of waiuta and how the got gold and where it was mined with also a mini video hope you enjoy.

Recently tekinga have been interviewing people from our local community just today we interviewed Jarred he worked in the air force and many other jobs including the bumble and friends show and many others and worked with Jason Gunn

Maths experiment

Me and my group for maths did an experiment about weight so first of e got a A4 piece of paper and folded it in half. And did instructions   the  instructions lead us to making a paper boat and to put marbles in the boat to see how many marbles it could hold. We have some photos that i will show you soon  we also made two boats on normal sized and a half sizes  this is the picture i know that is not the best but its  OK for the subject. So for my big boat i got 65 witch weighed 350 and my small one is 25 witch weighed 110 so it is pretty clear and obvious that the bigger one does more better i was really surprised that the paper didn't absolve really quickly. here is  the picture hope you enjoyed

called fair trade.They are a great company that only treat kids with pure respect.Only do fair trades their

label looks like this so if you see know that they one of the best companies still selling.

poems were about child slavery they were awesome to make all of te kinga had a great time
